At going around a bend ?!?!?

I have seen a few short movie clips on the net of CUPs and CTRs and it always seems the biggest argument of which one is better, but does anyone have any experience of french cars compared other marks???

Are french cars the best for taking a bend ?!?! (Defined as speed carried through a bend)

Clios do a good impression of Del Boy Trotters Reliant Robin when they take bends at speed on the race track. LOL

Id say for an average driver theyre chuckable cars.

Get a good driver in a rwd car and itll be a defferent story. Full throttle totally sideways through a bend is a work of art if performed right.

Then the big boys with 4x4 like Evo and Skylines are in a diferent league.

I can honestly say that when racing around Spa last weekend there really wasnt anything that could accelerate away from the 182 in the bends apart from the odd radical or oth non-road orientated car.

The straight were a differnt story but on the bends it was flying around.

this is where it gets interesting. I drive a BMW E30 M3 (weekends) and a 2002 Saxo VTR during the week. I believe i can handle both reasonably well and as for as turn in the road goes the saxo is much better, and because of the lack of power on that chasis you can power out much earlier. the M3 can handle well, but the down side is not so good turn in the road but is better on bumps and off cambers.

I have a fantastic video on my desktop of a Honda NSX Type R, Porsche 996 turbo, the 2 lambos (mummy and baby) BMW M3 CSL and a 360 Modena. After 4 laps in front the NSX has no choice but to let the lambos through followed by the ferrari porsche and CSL -

So although the bog players are fast cars, i am unsure whether they can out -do a french car point to point.

P.S I will dig out a vid of a standard Mi16 engine in a PUG 205 with race spec suspension and tyes, sat on the arse of a Porshce GT3 !!!!

I was taking an E36 M3 on the rounabouts in my Clio 16v not long ago. He murdered me as soon as it got strait!

It wasnt even close but he was up for a laugh and slowed down near roundabouts to let me catch up.
