When I see another vee on the road I give them the nod etc & they do the same. I did the same when I had the valver & my coupe 20vt.

If I had a common car I wouldn't bother.

If i know the person, then a flash and a wave maybe!
If i dnt and its jst a RS then a raised hand off the steering wheel, although its hard to see if they are a fellow CS'er if their sticker is in the back window and im travelling towards them! i also get funny looks sometimes cause i drive a bog standard mk1 most the time, and swap between a red and silver one depending on if i wish to change gear for myself or not!
But i think its nice to get recognised - we do it at work, all the Serco vans wave to each other, good to smile too makes other people smile back!

I was in pizza express having dinner! lol i was parked in Blighs as there was no space on the high street when i got there poxy evening charge lol going for a drive round tonight give the other car a run as shes been sat for a week!

It's also good fun when they have a little race down the road with you. All very friendly

I used to get alot of waves from other vw drivers when I had my 'rocco. The dub scene is really friendly I think.

I was in a loaf on the duel carriage way with a load of other loaves and bugs in convoy, on the other side of the duel carriage way we spotted a rocco and mk1 golf and waved em over so the rocco owner whipped around the next island and joined in, after a while there was this nice convey of dubs that was made up with the origional lot and some in other vdubs who joined for a few miles just for a laugh.

I like it, it's a little slice of camaraderie in a world where most strangers don't want to know each other.

I.m with the wavers and thumbs up brigade. Never have time to flash as I'm trying to work out if it is another RS. Sorry to other Clio owners but only looking for square grilles as my visual reference.

As for Minis always wave at fellow mini drivers when out in the Elf and everybody just looks back going wtf? So snobbish has crept into the Mini movement. Still refuse to wave at the German re branding monstrosity that is known as Mini nowadays.

Driving down the m1 yesterday morning about 6ish a 53' plate 172 cup with a cliosport sticker in the rear windscreen appeared alongside me for around 10 miles then turned off.

I did pull alongside and looked a couple of times at him but he seemed uninterested.

Couldnt have not seen me as we were side by side.

Coming home and decided to nip into Asda, was only going to the front counter so just parked up at the pick up/drop off zone right near the main entrance. Came out and some guy was taking a picture of the beast

Was mildly embarrassed lol, but since getting a full valet at BMW it's looking yum!

Yes I always wave at 172/182s. Always want to wave at Trophys when in one of my work vans, but manage to suppress it!

Despite their commonness (is that a word?), Mrs Theboy gets a lot of waves in her mk1 MX5 - from other mk1 MX5s, clearly.
