Argh! The rattles have begun

Car  200 FF Storm Grey
Was quite impressed that the clio didnt rattle when I picked it up, but now, 5 days in, it has begun :(

Wondering if anybody can advise what it might be

Its coming from my left door, around the area of where the seat belt hangs, best way to decribe it would be like a constant trickling noise i.e like small stones being dropped onto glass. It's all the time aswell, not just when I go over a bump like would be the case if it was a poorly fitted panel

Tbh I end up tapping where mine rattles, which is quite a few random places! Cant say I have your exact one though :(

Take off the plastic and have a look.
My door card started squeeking, it had come unclipped but I elbowed it in frustration and it clipped back in :D
Been fine since !

its prob your passenger seatbelt (the clip bit) jamed between the seat and the car rattling about..

happened to me a few times..

im assuming youve checked the door recess for anything left in it??

Try the heatsheild in the exhaust mate sounds daft but might just be that gives tha same noise as you describe ,REALLY difficult to pin down where a sound is coming from .

Its not a squeak mate, almost like the pitter patter of rain on plastic

Would that noise not come from my right though when the window is open? This is def to my left, like at about 8 o'clock

Rattles are good tbh, means that whatever part is doing it is still there, ie exhaust rattle = good ... its when its quiet you have a problem, ie exhaust has stopped rattling = fallen off.

lol, thats how it is with a clio then? Just glad its not fallen off

I had exactly the same problem. The interior door trim is held in place by cheap plastic poppers, which either break or don't fit properly. I ended up bunging a load of blu-tac inside my door trim. Sometimes my car rattles and squeaks more when it's really hot or cold, especially the sun roof.

I've had 2 x 106gti's, a 306 Rallye, a 206 xsi, a 182 & a 172 cup. All built by lazy french people who were too busy drinking wine & eating baguettes to make cars properly. Its just a french thing i think lol ... they call it character ;)

mint was so so quiet until I gave it hell over the first b road I came to - I think its started rattling in protest!

I had a rattle on the same bit, but on the drivers side, on the B-pillar, it stopped when i punched it, hasn't done it since.

My exhaust shield was causing a rattling, i thought it was inside the car, until i looked under and the rear left bit just came loose, just fitted it with a new screw and a larger washer, been fine since.

Just get under the rear of the car, and you should see straight away (i did) if its the exhaust heat shield......
