ARGHHH! k-tec exhaust

Ive bought this:

and it doesnt fit my car! its a 1.2 16v 2005 which is apparently compatable

the bore of the tube is larger than that of the tube on the cat, therefore it will not connect :S

anyone had this problem?

Did you tell them what car it was for?, as the sports have different bore/pipework

I have the same exhaust bar different tail pipe and fits perfectly, the trumpet end of the cat-back meets with the trumpet end of the cat and a "c" type clamp fits round them holding them together - I have an 51 plate dynamique tho, maybe they have changed the exhaust design since then???

tube in 3rd pics is meant to connect to cat but its a bigger bore, so cat pipe goes inside the tube for the exhaust :S

can you see the problem?
i think it might be either a 172 or a diesel exhaust but i cant tell for sure

It's a second hand system.
Probably been bodged by previous ownerr to fit a decat or something.

Don't let this put you off a K-Tec system!

Are you trying to fit the wrong end of the centre section to the cat? I'm sure the trumpet end connects at the backbox end.

its a catback system

the k-tec flange will not fit to the cat
the pipe from the cat fits inside the new k-tec tube

there centre sections use to taper down to the correct size

but it just does fit
can anyone tell by looking at the exhaust wether its a 172 or diesel?

do 172 or diesel cars have larger cat pipes?

Measure the size of the part listed on your drawing as ktec tube

defo not a 172 system

flange on ktec tube is 2.5 inches approx
flange on renault cat is 1.5 inhes approx
