Argument on Willy wheels....

Someone please end this argument that me and my mate are having about the Clio Williams.

Did all three additions of the Williams come with gold wheels as standard. Cause he thinks that one of them came with SILVER wheels!!!!

Im 99.9% sure they were all gold. So can someone please tell me whos right. As im positive you boys will know.

The Clio 16vs spare wheel is identical to to Willy alloys exept its silver, which is what he may be thinking of.

Hold on a sec....................it is known that a few of the earlier european Williamss did have the option to come with the silver willy speedlines or the gold.

ive heard this as well and seen silver ones ! (were told they are rare)

and no some one hadnt painted them silver (well didnt look like it)

and the 16v spare isnt identical to the willys (least mine isnt )

Apparently Renault made a maroon one which had silver speedlines.

And yeah far as i know some of the european models, did have an option to have silver ones - God knows why u would want them tho.

You could get silver williams style speedlines as an option on the 16v in France. Ive seen a couple out there and they look very nice especially with the original speedline logo on the one spoke. Better than the gold but it would be criminal for me to get the spray can out...

This isnt really solving the argument properly now. Did they ever do them in the Willy 1,2,3 in Britain, thats what I want to know...

No, they didnt. All 3 came out of the factory with GOLD wheels

Unless, has anyone else heard of the Maroon one with silver wheels that they done? Or is it just a big bunch of poopi?

Must admit that does sound a bit strange. Only seen maroon in 16v or below. Never a Williams.

In britain - The willy 1,2,3 all game with GOLD wheels.

A minority of early EU Willys came with the silver speedlines instead of the Gold as an option.

Definitely all came with Gold, every single UK Williams, blue paint, gold wheels.

the mk3 didnt have a silver line around them , 1 and 2 did, but yes they were all gold in uk.

Ive got a spare phase 2 16v wheel and this has a silver rim around it!

the silver ones are the racing wheels, i think they are lighter than the willy ones, GOLD as standard on uk williams, but there was a racing clio for sale on ebay about 3 months ago and it had silver ones on, also paul mitchell had a set and sold them. I may get mine refurbed in silver as the grey and gold doesnt really go too well, but the gold wheel is associated with the williams, they will just look like normal alloys in silver!

Yeah yours have definately been refurbed mate, mine has the silver line around them
