Ashley Exhausts?

Has anyone got an Ashley Exhaust fitted to their 172?

There are quite a few listed on eBay and ive been considering getting one, but just wondered what the fit and build quality was like.

Also if anyone has a PH2 172 What does it sound like? I dont want it too loud but wouldnt mind a nice sporty rasp when im accelerating quickly.

Any info or help is greatly appreciated as i don't wanna part with my hard earned to find its no good!

i had 1 on my cup... was a full system too... very raspy but i actually liked it.. not too loud imo!

K-Tec is real far away from me mate. I've looked on their website and i'm not keen on any of the 172 exhausts either if im honest.

Yozzasport seem quite expensive, as do K-Tec.

Im sure the prices are well justified and I know its hard to get quality cheap but i'm not lookin to spend alot on one.

The appeal was the price at £180 cat back and it's local so the possibility to collect.

How loud are we talking? I know its hard to give a comparison as exhausts on all cars sound different, bit if there's one that springs to your mind feel free to name it please.

The pipework is 2" Bore on the ashley exhaust.....

Does this match the standard clio pipework on the 172 or does anyone know the bore of the standard pipework?

yes the std system is 2inch iirc, most people say go for a 2.5inch for a 'performance gain' but god knows if thats right lol

I had the ashley back box on my cup and it was too loud . I would recommend to shop around

they are loud as they are a motorsport system, build quality is very good for the price of them, I know they are mild steel but they do last quite a while.
and if you were to get one go straight to the factory in walsall and buy it from them
