Audio file converter?

Chaps,

Have you any suggestions for converting standard WAV files to low-spec ULAW format, for use with phone systems?

I used to have an app that did it really well, but it's been a while since I used it and can't recall what its called. I don't mind paying for it either - it doesn't have to be free as it's works related.

Cheers @JamesBryan - I've downloaded it and tried converting to uLaw standard.

While it's allowed that, our phone system supports audio files that are barely one up from Morse Code. I believe its 8-bit mono, which I don't know if Audacity's conversion ability goes that low down to.

I've have a further play around though - see what I can do. It's a good app for free, regardless!

Yeah 8-bit mono.

Let me know if you struggle with Audacity and i'll download Audition CC in work and convert them for you.

I've sent a saved file over the to phone support people to see if the file is of the right type. I'll let you know what they say.
