Audio (sort of) help

I bought this cable a while back and it worked fine (after swapping the faulty one for a new one)

a couple of months later the cable stopped charging. No biggy, just a bit annoying. It still plays fine though.

Could the fuse be the reason it's not working?

Mine is similar to this but with a bit of wire rather than these 'S' shaped bits of metal

i thought I'd ask here before taking the radio out to get at the fuse.

cheers

Could well be as the audio and charging circuit on the ipod connector would be separate. Doubt you'd need a gold plated fuse any 20mm fuse of right rating would be fine for a charging circuit. Sorry if I'm not of help only browsed your other thread

these fuses suck goat balls mate they are known to become loose inside and still look fine to the eye i had the problem were my amp kept on cutting out for no reason for it to cut out again and not turn on atall i checked the voltage to see it was reading 0.3v after changing it i haven't had the problem since

replace the whole fuse for an anl fuse mate

So, if i fiddle with it, itll be a temporary fix?

also, can i do a pikey mod by packing it with foil to stop it coming loose?

Right, cheers

So do I just chop the existing fuse out and fit one of those anl fuses?

and will the fuse have the rating written on it? As I'm sure the last time I checked it was blank

you replace the fuse holder and fuse but i would personally buy another fuse and fit it and see if thats the problem first
