Thinking about fitting a sound system in my clio, decided ill take some of my brothers stuff to save me some cash. He is willing to sell me :

+Alpine CD-9835r Headunit (http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0002C5YRA/?tag=cliospnet01-21)
+Alpine Mono amp (Cant remmember model number)
+Alpine Type-S Sub
+Alpine Type-R 6x9's

for my front speakers i think ill go for
+ Alpine SPR-13S (http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/alpine-spr13s-p-5659.html)

The question is......have i picked the right front speakers and would it be worth scraping the 6x9's and buy some http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/alpine-spr13c-p-5660.html
to put where the standard rear speakers are.

Thanks
Carl

Exactly the same set up as I had in my 1996 Saab and that was a big car.

Excellent set up, I couldn't find a better one for the money and was very impressed. Don't bother with the 6x9's, they really aren't worth the hassle or money when you have components and a reasonable sub.

Scrap the 6x9s mate and go with the rest of the stuff - seems decent :)

You will have a better "soundstage" with a set of rear coaxils than with the 6x9s too

Yeah those seem like good ones - going by Alpine's reputation :)

I have 13cm coaxils in the rear of mine, they are about 50w RMS - MORE than sufficient!

Concentrate on putting the power in the front-end
