Automatic windscreen wipers?!

Hey guys

I have a Clio Dynamique + 1.4 16v 51 plate and theres a clear patch at the bottom of my windscreen now i noticed when the windscreen wipers are on 2nd setting which is every second or so they slow down when i come to a set of traffic lights to about every 3 seconds. I was just wondering wether there is a setting in my car somewhere that changes this as i have never noticed it!

Any help would be appreciated!

It's for the "pay as you drive" sensors isn't it? "TAG" or whatever they call them over here
