AUX belt not lining up pas delete

Just got this in the post, the pulley is bent a bit so I cant move it over, you can see the belt touches the plastic cover. I have my other 182 alternator but the pulley is a different size, does that matter? And how do you get them off with a gun?

Also regarding tension, how much movement should the belt have?

You need to move it over 1 rib mate

I'd try and take that pulley off the impact gun. If not I think you might be able to wedge the cooling fins enough with a big screwdriver to lock it off enough so that the gun bites

Yeah that's taken a fairly hefty whack!!

At least it came off though mate!

Im going to use the pulley from the other alternator, a little bit smaller but for testing the car will be fine

Smaller pulley will be fine to test, but it'll also make it spin faster so I wouldn't recommend it for track work.

It'd cook the alternator.

Is the lack of ac pump and pas pump really noticable on the revs then?

I deleted ac on my 172 and it made naff all difference.

Getting rid of the AC and PAS is one of the better things you can do. No more fire hazard from the PAS and no more heavy, ugly AC
