Aux Belt Whine

My aux belt has started making a really loud whine!!

i dont think its a tension issue as i tightened it before and its still making the noise,
it has very little movement up and down if you try to move it by hand with the engine off!!

what else could it be if not loose??
alternator still kicks out a healthy 14ish volts while the cars running and there are no idle/tensioner pulleys on the belt (litteraly just crank pulley, alternator and water pump!)

any ideas/suggestions??

noise is here when warm or cold

Is it running the Laguna/Volvo or Megane manual tensioner? Check you've not got the belt overly tight first.

My clio did that, check the belt tensioner bearings if you haven't already
