Auxiliary belt tensioner issue

  Clio 182
Been having a absolute nightmare with changing the Auxiliary kit belt on a 182 with aircon, having just changed the cam belt too. It appears the tensioner spring interferes with the belt where it comes off the power steering pulley, which very few others seem to have had an issue with, none of which seem to have found a solution... The kit is genuine and new (apart from the actual spring as had a bit of whoopsy with the new one in a vice whilst putting a jublie clip on it when it was getting a bit late, but the new one still had the same problem anyway), the belts the right length 1662 i think it was, and is defiantly in the orientation as on the workshop manual. I noticed it had the same problem before I changed it (only got the car a few weeks back), and it had worn a part of belt away, but assumed that it was just the tensioner was knackered, apparently not...Any ideas? The only thing I can really think of is the one of the pulleys is an odd size for some reason (the power steering maybe?) Have a picture below to display the problem. Cheers

Is the tensioner bolted on tight. This was the issue with some one that come to me, the hadn't bolted the tensioner on tight enough leading to the aux belt to rub and snap and snap the Cambelt also.

Something untoward going on there. Have you tried using the correct method of adjusting/moving the tensioner, and using a 3/8 square drive? you can see the hole it goes in in your picture

Have come up with a solution, it looks like one of the pulleys is't standard as i suspected, as just got a longer belt and it all fits correctly now. Very weird, but is all working fine now.
