I need to have a winge about my car... What the f**k were Renault thinking when they designed the 172 bay!?! Replacing the tensioner is proving to be quite a job. I'm replacing it becuase its brittle and chipped. Also, it had no bolt securing it to the car, it was only sat on the shaft??!?!?! I think I'll give the garage that did the cambelt a call...

Coming from 8v 106s which are a beauty to work on, to this..... ARGH!!

Im of now to get in the sun and have a beer....
 
lol, welcome to small car big engine syndrome. Sadly when you get the big engined variant (tbh applies to most cars, you try changing the plugs at the bulkhead end on a 12cylinder 7series!! and you'll see what i mean) there's f**k all space and high chance of taking all the skin off your knuckles. My 5 turbo was a pain in the ass to work on too, hoses and pipes everywhere.
