axle stands and jacking my car!!!!!

hi i bought a pair of 3 tonne axle stands last nite so as i can remove my exhaust 2day but the box says that you shudnt put 1 stand on at a time. i says that you shud jack up the whoel rear axle in the middle and put the stands in/ i didnt bother buying 1 of the 2 tonne car jack things but instead i thought i cud use my standard car jack . i am now wonderign if my jack will be bale to hold such weight of the whoel rear axle of a clio??? cud any1 help me or reasuure me so i dont loose my arm! thanks!:approve:

You would be much safer with a trolley jack mate, I dont trust those wee scissor jacks at all.

Yep it should best take out any spare weight you can ie spare wheel but a trolly jacks a better idea there much safer only £10 or so for one.
