Axle swap

Evening all!
Got a right annoying humming coming from the back of the dci, sounds just like a knackerd bearing, so i changed the bearings, looked at the shoes and drums and all seem fine. P*****g me right off.
So.. iv come across a cheap 182 axle thats like a mile away from me, i know the abs wouldnt be compatable but would it do the job?

Changing the axle isn't going to fix your humming noise though. Who fitted your bearings?

Well i prosumed it would considering theres no other moving components at the rear end. Gets worst as you speed up so definitly something wrong with axle/hub. I fitted them

When you say you fitted the bearings, with a press?

yep, i used a press
still drivin me mad..

It probably tyre noise. Try swapping the tyres front to back.
