Backbox question???

  Megane 225 Cup
Hey guys and gals,

I went to buy a new backbox for my car this weekend (give it a bit more rumble) but thought id have a look at how the current one sits etc..

how on earth does it come off, on my old car there were some rubber bushings and bolts, on my new car (clio phase 2 mk 1 2001 reg) I couldnt find any..

Help apprectiated..

Oh and while ive got this topic open, what makes the car sound nicer decent exhaust or induction kit???

Thanks

Nick

like you have said the box rests on brackets that attach to the car via rubber bushes..have you taken the bolts off from the first join from the backbox heading towards the centre section and tryed to pull it apart...

oh and on a smaller engine car i would say that a exhaust would give a better rubble

yeah just depends on the type of box mate..
like most of the time the backbox pipe will go over the rear subframe and them connect to the start of the mid section.

if its a o.e box then there will be no join over the rear arm...unless its been replaced once before..

back box and induction kit give off smilar amount of sound. but with I/K you need to put your foot down all the time to feel the full benefits, as backbox will give it to you all the time
