Baller Much?

  Turbos.
Was amazed seeing this photo of Underground Racing's (of course, a US based tuner) workshop. All the cars due twin-turbo conversion. Despite the supposed recession, why it does it see like the Yanks have ridiculous disposable income? Or is it simply because there are loads of 'em?

Holy sh*t!!! That grey Spider on the right is amazing.

It's because the US is a massive country,
so there are alot more rich people in relation to the UK, purely based on land mass size.

It's the same everywhere. There are plenty of people who are in positions that mean the word recession hasn't even registered with them. People with proper money still have as much as they always have.

Wow. That garage is incredible!

American tuning scene is ridiculous. Seems like some people have no end of money to throw at it (I don't know if that's just my perception of it?).

And certainly no **** (*insert clio/nova/corsa/saxo/fiesta's here)...

Some amount of metal there!

Don't like to see Superleggras waiting to get the conversion though. :(

That is unbelievable.

You'd think the standard cars would be quick enough ffs. Yanks have zero taste.

If I came into money and had a lambo that'll be the first place it'll go. They made the orange Gallardo that had around 1900 hp but sadly that crashed on the Texas mile.a few years back

  Turbos.
Vid?

I guess i asked the question because you see a similar theme whatever the car, the car meets shown on here from the States would suggest even the youngsters have $$$.

  FN2 Type R +MK6 Golf
TBH theres probably 50 times more lambos in calafornia than that actual first pic. When you consider you can pretty much fit the uk in texas gives you an idea that theres a lot of poor people and a lot of rich people in america.

  Disastra Coupe
I wouldn't be too worried if i were you. You get to race around in an NSX and a Lotus... Something most forum members can only dream of :)

93 octane.... lol.

And we complain about supermarket 95's with our high spec RS cars eh!! Makes you think, if the Lambo's are happy our little rattleboxes should be!

Just better boost with better octane.

Im guessing any car can be mapped to any octane....

I suppose if you spend the full whack you can do this.

Yanks rate their fuel in MON not RON. MON is always slightly lower, realistically they have a higher availability of better fuel than we do. They normally have 3/4 blends at the pumps compared to us.

They're different measuring methods, but as a rough guide, 89 MON = 97 RON. And to think they have fuels that go up to 93 MON. Go figure.

I typed this out, then saw your reply lol!

  An orange one
That kind of power must feel unbelievable

I mean, most people think an M3 is fast, which it is to an extent...

Its hard to comprehend how fast 1500whp feels in a Lamborghini... It must be neck snapping!

they also measure horsepower differently. Rule of thumb, what they say is wheels HP is the same as we would say is flywheel HP
