  Fiesta ST2
ok folks - someone hit my cars rear quarter panel and for some reason my tyre has a slash in it.

Now I got the spare on and I think I can buff the quarter out in most places but the actual is worrying issue is that even though the car is driving stright the steering wheel is turned to the left slightly - if I turn the wheel stright the car goes to the right is this because of the spare wheel being a 15" with a bigger tyre and the rest being 16s?

cheers folks
adam.

The 15" might be a different height when sat on the road to the 16" wheels, might explain why it's pulling to one side when driving. Either that or the jolt of the accident might've knocked your steering out a little, best get it checked imo.

thanks guys..
took it out there the when the steering wheel is to the left the wheels are actually turning to the left if I straighten the wheel they are straight and if I nail it in first the steering wheel strightens up but then the car obviously pulls to the right. cant do anything until Monday anyway's :(

Sorry to hear Adam. Id say its just cos you are rolling on the spare. Its narrower, smaller diameter and its only meant for emergencies. Get your tyre sorted out on Monday and it should be grand. Now, take 2 of these, drink plenty of fluids and call me in the morning :rasp:

haha thanks mate

just did a bit of a clean up on the car was able to polish nearly all the scrapes out after a bit of 3000grit light wet sanding.. although theres a nice dent the length of the rear quater panel from the rub strip back (which is now off the car!!) :(
