Battery and ECU relocation

Car  172 ph1 2.4 transit
Im thinkin about relocating the battery to the boot and lieing the ecu down in its place so i can directly fit the air filter to the throttle body like the challenge cup cars !!!

Has anybody done this and with what results you had ??

You know where I am if you need a hand mate!!

Lee where have you put your air filter and is there enough cable a room to lie the ecu down ??

PS keepin my car trimmed for now as its the winter hack too !!!

I've got a Pipercross foam induction filter where the battery was mate....I'd imagine theres enough cable to lie the ECU down...why you'd want to is another matter though! LOL! I've left mine upright & mounted my breather on the front of it like so...

Ive noticed on some challenge cars the filter is directly on to the throttle body and not sure if the ecu will be in the way if i do this ???

^^That looks like a great set-up, best of both worlds! Good work, as always, Mr Burp!! :star:

Mine's lay down and battery in the boot. Different inlet though so you cant really gauge how much room they'll be.....

Kev i wanted to do this, Filter straight off TB and yes the ECU does get in the way, i`m going to have to relocate my battery to the boot i reckon and lie ECU down.
