Battery power

Does anyone know how many miles you have to do after staring your car to put the charge back in the battery?

I was told about seven miles by the AA once. I suppose it depends on the battery, alternator, engine size, etc.

Because Im covering 3 miles to work in a morning with full lights on, wipers (sometimes) and stereo and the same back on a evening.

My alarm has been going off and I think due to the above has caused my battery (1 year old) to go low? So Im keeping it on charge.

i would say a std 20 mile journey would help
