BBR Morego 182 upgrade kit

So, if the rest of the Renault warranty remains intact, does that mean that this is Renault approved?

I thought any work would invalidate the whole thing, especially the mechanicals?

Get it on the RR, before and after, see the real outputs!
LOL Agree !

TBH i really like the look of the exhausts and for £398 there not bad, also they seem to really like the exhaust noise. didnt say it was too loud or anything so should be a good mod at least to just do exhaust.

bhp seems a tad optimistic imo, however BBR have been arround a long long time and have good reputation, 3 yr warranty interesting too

Bung on a decat and get more hp.
If you was gonna put a decat on it there wouldnt be much point paying extra for a modified version with warranty then voiding it ,you might aswell buy a 182 for £12000 and send it to one of the tuning companies,

These are the people who do a 300bhp mini cooper s turbo conversion arent they?

Obviously would need to see figures but they dont seem like a company who chat sh*t

woudnt mind payin 1850 for an extra 22bhp but would like t see it on the RR to make sure i would be gettin my moneys worth!

why do companies insist on an exact figure?? and making stickers showing 202... surely the way each car comes out of the factory would differ.. after BBR some falling as low as 195 up to maybe 206ish.. if all ended up with exactly 202 then thats a dodgy RR isnt it? - any idea on which cams and chip they use?....

Floodie, its called marketing, simple terms, power figures sell products

but if you cant back it up with HARD proof, then its a bit misleading

Circa 20bhp gain doesnt sound that far fetched on new cams surely? Im going to keep my eye on this, as Im really interested in 200+ for my Cup. Itll "kill" the next RS Clio ;)

The article mentions a camber adjust, anyone know if you need to fit new top mounts or if this is just an adjustment on the std suspension?

Awaits BenRs opinion pmsl

At least there marketing has worked.

LAD anyone??

one cam, the inlet one is all they apparently touch

and how youre supposed to fit that cam yourself without the specialist tools required ill never know!!

:) im not a spastic rectum head :) hehe ..... i know power figures sell.. but why be so precise and make damn stickers. i bet none they do are dead on 202... spose it would look better than "approximately 202" tho

well exactly, we all know the power figures on the 172/182s vary, mainly due to the inlet mis matching from factory

i dont want to get envolved with a sl*gging match etc, and i hate when people sl*g off other tunning companys, but i do believe those figures they "quote" are slightly optimistic

all the power figures we quote are done on an engine dyno, which is as gospel as it gets

  Audi A6 (S3 on order)

^^ uh huh ... I believe you. Just like the 200 brake cup which had inflated rr loss figures used to help promote your cams.

It says all their converstions are tested on a superflow SF-7100 engine Dyno, so does this mean its more likey to be a true bhp fig then?

Dyno figures are so easy to manipulate.

Accurate timing and speed recordings are where its at.

How about a shootout? Sure a mag would be interested and supply timing gear. Winning = best ad you could get.

A genuine dyno-tested 200bhp in a 1080kg Clio would do me nicely thankyou  Im keeping an open mind about this one, but I think the comments about the warranty are utter b****cks. Surely if renualt found out you had 200bhp theyd null and void the warranty for all the drivetrain for starters? Including all bearings...gearbox, mounts, brakes, the lot?

anyone got any other info on this then i.e 0-60 time, any change in top end speed ?? i personally think this sounds quite promising and for £1800 cant be bad.
