Been out for a while: what's with the SM inlet?

Car  Rs
My trackcar / ringtool is a 172.1. Over the last years I have done almost every mod to the car I can imagine. Last year i haven't tracked the car very much but I am planning to race like crazy next year!
This is why i am reading the forum again. Now I hear all this about easy performance gains with the SM-inlet. I have searched the forum but dný get the complete picture. So my question is: Does the SM inlet bring me power gains? Easy installation? what about the ECU? Where can I buy the damn thing?

Many thanxs for your answers in advance!

The guy who made the sm inlet imo could of cleaned up but with constant price changes and messing around cost himself

shame as it proved itself to be decent bit of kit, especially for the price. he was doing them at £480 at one point.

What with track Db triggers becoming ever so tight now and being pinged by throttle bodies induction noise , I'll keep my RS2 thanks .
With regards to not enough plenum volume @NorthloopCup , you prob know more about that than I do as I have your old one [emoji12]. It suits me for now [emoji1303]
