Noob question, 1st clio, go easy :)

Anthracite turini's on a black clio, so far so good. Couple of questions:

If I stick with 15" rims and 185 tyres, by how much should I lower the car
to get them to sit 'right' in the arches ? Is 30mm usual ?

lastly, which frikkin' tyres give the best grip/wear ratio, in your opinion ?

My fronts are about shot so I need to decide soon.

There no best tyres its all down to choice personaly I say the stock ones Renault fitted the continential premium contract but other prefere F1's each tonthere own there is no best you can easily argue a set of road legals semi slicks are best.

The no amount you need to drop it by stock cars run 185/55/15 if you want many people would say a 40mm drop is ideal but what springs claims and realy give are different things plus most springs and cheap springs and dampers are rubish IMO giving a ride and handling worse than stock and its just for looks.

195/50 r15 sized tyres are cheap as for a decent make, i'd look at going for that size. Maybe get some goodyear eagle f1's ?? I had them & rated them a lot.

I've no idea on lowering though.

195 50 15 v rated Michelin Pilot Exaltos are £45 a piece from costco fitted. You don't need V rated, H rated would be enough and cheaper.
