Best/Cheapest place for APEX -40mm Springs?

  Monaco Blue Mk2
As title, preferably online or in the north-west, Liverpool, Warrington, Chester area.

Also am I right in assuming I shouldn't have too many problems with my dampers due to only lowering 40mm? I know they wont last as long as normal. How long should I expect them to last bearing in mind my car is 2000, 55ish thousand on the clock?

  172 cup'd extreme
the fronts will last its the rears that go pop and they are not too expensive/hard to change.
for the springs drop john a line at 2modified he'll give you a good price

  Golf R/Leon FR
but it may be worth pming john2modified as he may get them cheaper for you
also just noticed that your are for a 1.4 sport thats why yours are slighty cheaper.
its worth shopping around ive only been looking for 172 springs

What delivery times are they telling you for these springs ?? as I have been on the phone to motorworld and another company in Warrington and they have told me that there are none available in the UK and delivery could be up to 4 weeks

Marie :)

I've not enquired yet Maz 'coz I'm still looking and also need to see what the bank balance looks like! If you want to ring and ask though the number for that venom motorsport is 01254 820005. If you do, let me know what they say. Thanks.

  Alfa 147 GTA
they were cheap because there is only 2 springs

Mine were only £45 or something for the valver, the £59.99 i said were for his car so i presume it is the four springs for that price. I checked around motorsportworld etc delivery times at the time and they were saying 3 - 4 weeks for me aswell, but these guys delivered next day. They get them sent straight from the factory apparently

I can't see Venom motorsport having any in stock because they are VW specialists .. and no doubt they will be the same waiting time as everywhere else ..

Just thought I would make you aware that there is an extended waiting time for these items ..

How did you get on with the wheels ?? did you get them sorted in the end??

Marie :D

yup, as Maz has said, the vasy majority of places dont hold stock of springs and they get sent to you direct from the supplier

only ONE company brings Apex gear into the country and they seem to keep very very low stock levels, meaning most of it has to come direct from Holland which can take weeks, in some cases over a month

we try to keep a couple of sets on order but they sell fast so we are ordering new stock all the time essentially.

they are popular as they work well and are well priced.

Oh well I'm in no rush just yet anyway.

Haha, yeah got the wheels sorted first thing on the Monday morning! Took it to budget and they drilled them out for a tenner. Got new locking nuts now and were going back down on Saturday to finish spraying the calipers and drums on the other side. Felt wierd driving with that setup! Oversteered like hell at about 25mph on that little roundabout on the way home from the garage!! Was good fun though!
