Best Clio specialist garage in Manchester?

Hi all,

M'182 was running verrrry rich and now sputtering so it needs a bit of TLC. And new injectors probably.

I live in Manchester so if anyone knows of a local place to take it where they both know what they're doing AND won't give it back to me with zero feedback and covered in s**t (looking at you BTT) then I would very much appreciate it.

Thanks

I'm not Manchester based so I can't really help you here, but I'm curious to know what happened with BTT?
I took it there for a service and an inspection as I bought it unseen (not my first 182 tho) plus some light paint work.
They guy I dealt with was nice enough but managed to forget who I was within a week, which didn't exactly reassure me.
I asked them for a full walkaround/underneath inspection, which I was happy to pay extra for, and they didn't say anything other than 'it's fine' after I had to remind them I'd asked for that service. They obvs didn't do it.
It was also covered in s**t when they gave it back to me, dirty, looked like they'd been ragging it through puddles etc.
I've since had other areas painted and that guy said whoever did the custom bits (which BTT did) did one of the worst jobs he'd ever seen, he repainted their work for free cos he thought they'd pulled my pants down.

Ah man that's a shame. I've had my 172 down at BTT a couple of times and had no issues, but tbf I've only ever asked them to do specific stuff.

I was quite specific with them, left detailed requests written down in an email and on a note on the passenger seat.
I felt like I only got lip service instead of a car service. Oh well, no repeat business for them!

Sounds to me like it's a lambda issue and it's running on cold map. Worth doing injectors too tbf.

Get a build thread up.

Yeah that's what I thought from reading through here.

It's already been aesthetically done to a point, going to get the gear gaiter retrimmed with gold thread and gold seat belts all round. Black and Gold innit.

I have very little mechanical knowledge sadly so just focusing on what my eyes like. It's got loads of mods already, running at 187hp and is quite, quite loud.

Another vote for Birchdown. I um'd and ah'd about going down there for a few years (I'm near Blackburn, so North of you) but I bit the bullet this year for belts & PAS pump with no regrets. Sound lads. Just don't drive straight past like I did and get lost miles down the road lol.
