best exhaust for my 172

My exhaust is blowing at the moment and i think it would benefit from a full new exhaust. However i think i might go down the k-tec route as i heard one on youtube fitted to the 172 and i quite like the sound. Not too loud either. Any ideas on how much these cost roughly with fitting? only have a few hundred quid to spend so the best cheapest exhaust you lot recommend?

also want one that doesn't stick out like a sore thumb. Seen a few double end ones and not to keen on them.

id go for a btb stealth system, much better quality than the ktec ones.

Who said anything about performance? Although they ate the freeist flowing I believe??
It's better build quality and less weight is why I want one.

The OPs asked what the best exhaust is for a 172, im just asking weather the BTB is actually better performing than Ktech or Yozza ect or if its just heresay and looks your into.

They're renowned to be the best performing stealth aren't they? I haven't seen any dyno results though.
To be fair, unless you're planning on major tuning work, it won't make much difference.

Sorry mate, dont understand your first line?

So they're renowned for being the best performing but you've seen no proof, Id say the exhaust system was one of the best ways to free up some power/torque with a remap of course.

And a good performing exhaust would be a better foundation for any future mods over an exhaust that just looks good.

It may just be me but when im buying something, exhaust ect i look into all the opitons/dyno results ect and buy the best performing. Also factor in available cash.
