they are on exchange basis - they will have one ready - you just need to give them yours in return.

How does that work then? Surely they would need to have yours off the car first, so they can see what work needs to be done to match it?

Lol, I can imagine they exchange heads and Inlets together but as said above they surely cnt do just inlets what will they be matched to, Unless they are just selling inlets which have been opened up rather than matched??

  Whichever has fuel
Ben @ angel works quoted me £150, and if i dropped it off in the morning, he would have it ready for 4pm.

  MERCEDES CLS AMG
Anything like that take it to Ben or Andy at GDI ( as you have already ) there work is carried out to an exceptionally high standard - even though they are all gay ;)

On the 172/182 engine range the inlet ports are CNC machined by Renault, so the ports and their sizes because of this are consistant between heads and we have seenvery little differencebetween ones we have measured. This makes matching the ports more accurate.
Our club price for the manifold exchange with new gaskets is £141.75 Fitted price for club members is £184.77

That sounds like a good deal to me for the power gains.

Fitting a sports cat next week so may have to get this done next.

Does the car have to be mapped on a RR after fitting the inlet or can the car be run with the ecu in OE form?

I'm sure Yozza or Fred could arrange it for you at their F1 place.

OR

K-Tec do it for about £130 + VAT

Nick Hill or Ben I think do more of these than anyone that I am aware of...

no idea what Nick does, never seen it. I am sure its good though

I am sure ben will answer soon

I'm not 100% sure what nick does so i cannot comment.

But i rework all mating faces and the entire length of the runners, bar the opening into the plenham which is unreachable and insignificant unless pushing big bhp.

Its a total reshaping, resizing exercise.

£150 for the modified manifolds, £40 fitting......BUT, i am so busy at the moment i just cant take on anymore fitting jobs for a while.

  182>FRS>VX220 now 350Z
Dude, I still think you should be charging more!!! Alot of work goes into these badboys, i wouldnt wanna do it lol. Get back to your block grinder monkey! lol

On the advice of financial planner gary, prices have now gone up.

How much am i charging now gary?

And yes, i think they are too cheap aswell, it gets very boring and painfull doing them solid.

haha, Angelworks Stage1 Inlet manifold modifications now retail at £199.99 lol. Seriously though imo they are fantastic value and not only in terms of bhp>£ but also the amount of work that is involved!

Waitey,

In answer to the original question, i would just go to the nearest one as there isn't much difference in it.

Just to be a pain in the ass, would be interesting to post a before pic aswell. So to compare.........

  Shhh
Whats are the benefits of this on a 182, also the ECU remap question was not answered from the earlier posting. Does the inlet and exhaust sensor just take care of things.

I would assume anything like this voids off any warranty on the item.? Or is it not noticeable.

you cant see it from outside...

its FAR better if you get the fueling adjusted.. no the ECU does not take care of it...

you need to adjust the fueling to take it from 14.7 arf to 12.9 afr to get the best from this mod...

There are the only pics i have really.

Only pic i have of a std manifold face, hard to see but you can just make out the problem with std manifolds.

The rest is the geneal modification stages and the finish achieved. It is of the heavy manifold rework, but just so you can get an idea of things.

I know best results will been seen with a piggy back, but does restting the standard ECU help in any way at all? even if its minute?
