Best plastic cleaner

I am on a mission today for new cleaning goodies to replace the ones i had which are now finished.

I was using Ag Bumper Care on the Black plastics & Vinyl and Rubber care on the lower grill of my 172.

Theses products were alright :)

I was wandering if there any other decent plastic care products available that i could try ?

Or am i best to stick with AG Bumper care and Vinyl and Rubber Care ?

WD40 is as good as any of the plastic cleaners . None of them actually clean ,they just mask any marks i.e. make them appear darker / black again .

Nope . Spray it on a cloth , rub it in then buff off . They all run , AG bumper care , CG trim gel.... if you put too much on . Try it mate , you'll be pleasantly suprised . Plus you can spray your dodgy bonnet catch as well .

WD40 ftw ;)

None of the products you mention clean plastic, they just dress it.

Deep clean with Megs APC or Einszett Plastic Cleaner and then dress.

  Monaco Blue 172
Armour All: dashbour wipes (with gloss finish)

leavees any plastic looking spanking, and black plastic look new - no lies

As young MrBilly says...WD40 works really well to dress plastics, water beads of plastic like on paint...just found it didn't last that long, the finish at least.

After people talking about it on here I tried a normal art rubber on some plastic with polish on and it did actually work pretty well.

^^^ For removing white polish marks off plastic , it's the only thing i've found that actually does work . Then dress with WD40 . Cheap solution to a pain in the ass problem ;)

^^^ Oh well , waste your money on products that DON'T work ;) You'll soon learn , be it the hard way :quiet:

Sorry Billy, i just wasn't convinced :S

Have you any pics of the WD40 after application to the plastics ??

^ I can vouch that it does work for dressing plastics 100%, just doesn't last THAT long but no plastic dressings do in this country, best wearing I have found is actually meant to be for tyres...which means some chemists need to get back to the drawing board!

Seriously if you want to clean white marks off plastic use a magic eraser - its like a sponge and rubs it away just wet it and spray a bit of APC on cost £1 for a few usually from pound shop or Aldi and the likes 100% success rate from my valeting days

Hard to compare as,one is a plastic cleaner and the other a plastic dresser 2 different tasks

Indeed- I use the Einszett Plastic Leaner to clean and then AG Bumper Care, AG Vinyl Rubber or Einszett Vinyl and Rubber to dress.

Ok cheers.

What is the bonus of using the cleaner ?

Does it just remove polish from the plastics etc ?

How does the Einszett Vinyl and rubber compare to the AG Bumper Care ?

Are the on par ?

Or is the Einszett slightly better ?

Deep cleans the plastics nicely removing any old dressings. Works well on cleaning wax of trim.

Einszett Vinyl and rubber is akin to AG Vinyl and Rubber in the fact it is watery in consistency I use it on smooth trim only, may last a touch longer than the AG.

I don't use it as a replacement for AG Bumper care which is my go to product on textured trim.
