I would give them a light polish first to clean them up and get rid of any overspray, you might even need some clay depending how good a job they did.
Then can just use any old sealant like you would use on the metal or otherwise get a specialist product. Chemical Guys Wheel Guard is a good all-in-one cleaner and sealant, but can't layer it with itself, although you can use a sealant and/ or wax over it.
Personally I am currently using SRP, CG Jet Seal and Collinites 476s, works really well almost don't even need to do anything more than blast them with a pressure washer if you don't let the crud build up.
For new paint though some say you should wait a while before applying wax so maybe just SRP/ clay as required now and then seal/ wax next wash.

dont need to polish any blemishes out as they made an amazing job of them honestly thought theyd give me someone elses wheels back
They said its fine to polish wax etc as they were in the oven
They do some product lkike i said bove which polishes and seals in one but didnt have any at the time
I have collonites insulator wax like the 476s but esier to apply remove whould this be ok straight on them or would it be best to polish first?

It is always worth a light polish after something being sprayed, when I worked as a valeter at a garage on my gap year we had to polish every panel that had been sprayed and it was a heavier cut than SRP.
Apart from anything else it will give a better base for the wax/ sealant to bond with, applying wax onto freshly painted surfaces is not FTW! But yeah the wax you have should be absolutely fine.

Mate just use the 476s if you have it, will be hard to beat. Unless you really want to spend the cash that is!
Not 100% sure if powdercoating needs the same cure times as conventional painting but would leave it a couple of days before sealing/ waxing to be on the safe side I guess.

The main advantage of it over using rather than a carnuba is I find it is quicker to apply.
