K-tec big brake kits have always been highly recommended on here.
I've yet to see any recomendations for them you won't get one form me there rubish value for money unless you want them for looks IMO.
Well currently i have:
Front Drilled Discs
Front Standard Pads
Rear Standard Discs
"Brand New" Rear Pads
Garage has told me that i need a new caliper for the hand brake? im not that clued up on brakes to be honest but there is definately room for improvements.
Yep new rear calipers or refusb make the difference.
Drilled disk are not needed there just hastle stock disks are much better.
best thing is to make sure its all Ok to start with and then decide how good you want to the stock setup is very good realy. Maybe your just need a refurb
Calipers are used on the Mk2 cars none RS 99% of the time or cxan rebuild yours
Pads well there laods of choice I like the Ferrdo FDB845 stock ones £17 from halfords or there DS3000's for £100.
Some new lines and a good full brake bleed does wonders.
i have found grooved discs all round for £150, bargain me thinks?
I am real interested in these carbonne lorraine pads from ktec, but could anyone tell me if front and rear pads are included? if not will they fit rear too?
My main interest now is calipers, uprated ones, like willwoods? How much can i get a front & rear set for? and will they work with carbonne lorrain pads and my grooved discs?
No need to touch the rear brakes make sure it works as it should. The fronts well Yozzasport sell the stuff as a packagae along with others. There not cheap though.
You cna get rear carbons but stock are better rear brakes do nothing frotns are the important ones.
As for the drilled disk IMo forget them can get better performace for less.
