If its for a 1.2 then the best sounding exhaust is the standard one anything else just makes you look a plank.

I just don't see the point?! Why polish a turd... You know its a 1.2 and everyone else knows its a 1.2 when you get out done by a moped

Id keep the 300 or whatever you're looking to spend on it and put it towards a car that deserves a nice exhaust system.

Otherwise you're just all show, no go.

Because I liked the sound ? Just because its a 1.2 doesn't mean its got to be quite. You can make any car 'quiet', it doesn't mean 'powerful' imo. Also how slow do you think the 1.2s are? I never found my 1.2 that slow tbh, you just had to rev it quite a bit to get the best out of it. I sure McGherkin finds the same? Our 1.2 TCE manages to keep up with our 182 quite well. Yes the 182 pulls away on the straights, but not by miles.

I can happily keep up with a 1*2 in the twisties (as proved after the last CS meet lol), but then I don't exactly class a 1*2 as quick either.

I'm perfectly happy with my exhaust sounding the way it came out of the factory TBH.

I must look into getting one of these 1.2 's then. Turns out the extra 800cc is just wasted capacity haha.

No, I take your point mate but for me, in my very humblest of opinions, you're just trying to make something sound sporty that isn't....

For me its just the same as buying a fake watch. Yeah, you can kid yourself and fool the fools. But ultimately you know, and those who have an active interest know its just a blingy fake with no substance

Tbh I agree with banther, I personally wouldn't fit an exhaust, but as long as it's not antisocial I don't have a problem with others doing it.

I'd post mine but seams daft as its a 182 and this is on about a 1.2, but as far as I'm concerned your car mate put a exhaust on people may say why polish a turd , while they mod 182s :S they are all clios lol !

Its your car make it nice , some of the best car I know don't always have to be the quickest cars I know !

I have a k-tec /janspeed on mine , it's a little on the louder side with the decat but gives a lovely sound ! Ill post a video if you'd like !

Had the ktec 182 style one on my old 1.2 and it sounds pretty similar to my Ultra on my 182 just this one is louder. If you want to put an aftermarket system on then go for it, who cares what everyone else thinks :)

Yeah its just a back box. I paid £55 all in delivered to my door thanks to trusty old ebay for a good sneaky bid last second :p The exhaust was £35 and the postage was £20 so was a good bargain!
