Yea I left the iron x on it and left but no joyAlloy Wheel cleaner, brush it on leave it to do its work.
Failing that I'd probably try polishing it off. I'm sure some of the detailing boys will come along with some superior advice.

IronX should remove it, presuming it is actually brake dust ! Bilberry is a safe brake-dust remover too .. IronX should easily remove it though as it's far harsher than billbery.
How much is that?i've got some trade only ixtar stuff (from renault) and it gets ANYTHING off
80 grit should get it off.
