BG 182, winter protection pictures.

Car  Fiesta ST-3
Evening,

after seeing Dr Jekyll's thread with the pictures of his stunning BG... I was inspired to give mine a clean, and some form of protection from the winter weather.

It was freezing today, even inside the unit... so there isn't much of a write up as there are no pictures of the process, just afters (which aren't very imaginative or as sharp as I would have hoped).

Here they are,

C&C welcome.

Also, the aeriel was snapped off (scumbags), and with it they took the thread from the base so that needs replacing. I also need to tinker with the exhaust to get the tail pipes sitting straight when it gets a little warmer.

Cheers for reading :)

Chris that looks the business mate, really does. What products did you use?

For me BG suits the standard anthracite wheels best on the 182's.

I think I've mentioned this before but I also like the black wheel diamond and matching the front black diamond looks good.

Cheers mate, I used:

G101 on arches etc,
Auto glym shampoo (2bucket method)
Meguires clay and QD
Wash again
Clean your Car blue fluffy drying towel
AG Super Resin polish (I have no DA/Rotary yet)
Poorboys Black hole
AG HD wax
Poorboys new look trim gel.

Probably some other stuff too, but I forget :)

Yeah you have mate, I personally prefer standard. Diamonds, and calipers will be going standard!

What I meant was with the black front badge, the silver wheel diamonds would look out of place. I actually prefer the standard chrome too, hence me leaving mine original.

Pictures look like it has been machined polished tbh. I need to order myself some more poorboys stuff and looking at your tyres I'll get some of the poorboys new look trim gel too :)

You've done yourself proud there. It's refreshing to see a standard one and it just reminds me how good they look!

Looks great mate. Everyone loves a clean black car. No one wants to own one!

Super clean!

Just a thought, have you thought about securing the number plates abit more?

Thanks, always means that little bit more coming from detailers :o

Spotless!, wish i had a bigger garage or a hanger to work in! fecking freezing and dark outside and i want to fit my splitter.

Cheers mate, it was an opportunity I couldn't turn down really!

Cheers guys, the positive feedback makes it all worthwhile!

Awesome! Cheers for that Jim.

I wish he had kept the diamonds silver, looks so fresh! Finding silver wheel diamonds is a pain in the ass, gotta buy a whole centre cap.
