BG Clio 182 project

Hey guys,

I'm new to cliosport.net and new too the clio sport scene all together! (loving it so far!) so here i am thought id introduce myself and my clio project.
My names Russ from west midlands and have just bought my BG clio 182. Picked it up from telford about 2 weeks ago loving it, although the guy didn't tell me the rear brake disc had a massive crack that made a gap in the brake disc.

The plan for this car is make everything mint, put it on coilovers and eventually make it a show standard car. I saw all of you guy' cars on the stand at trax and knew i wanted a clio sport and for it to be there next year!

so first things first were change discs and pads on the rear, picked up a set of mintex discs and pads with wheel bearings and ABS rings for £90 and got those fitted straight away!

Today i decided to have a bash at my headlight restoration!
they were pretty grimy:

so i started to sand them down with wet and dry:

A bit of love and attention and i got them looking like this:

tomorrow i shall be cleaning n painting the callipers and possibly the engine mount/inlet manifold

Thanks Cal, currently awaiting for my dad to become free so it can respray (all barring roof) hoping to have a show standard car by the end of winter

Lucky having a full respray! I'd love to work from scratch, especially on black. Keep us posted I'll keep my eye out for the respray

So Monday some jealous idiot decided to vandalise the clio so she now needs a bonnet repair and new head light should be getting headlight today

Right couldn't let the b******s win so bonnet shall be repaired when it comes to be painted.. So I went I search of a new light £35 got me this:

Got it home and did my headlight restoration on it:

Off came the bumper to fit the ballast and bulb from old light and refit the new unit

Job done
