ive got a clio 16v with superchip, piper x cone filter, de-cat, and magnex full exhaust system

am going to get a hill power chip and a closed induction kit

wot power do u think im pushing out at the mo? and wot difference do u think better chip and induction kit would make?

Maybe about 150 if your lucky....the cone is probably eliminating the benifits of the exhaust n chip! Ive gotta K&N with cams/chip etc and will be removing it soon as it aint as fast as it should be - sounds the business but saps power like nothing on earth.... With the hillpower chip and closed induction kit id reckon 155/160...

yeh i know ive been told that the original airbox will improve power, but i dont have it i bought car modded, thats why im after a sealed unit.

wot experiences ave ppl had with the hill power chip?? ive been told that they are the chips to have on valvers, but ive not heard much from ppl who have them

I have a hillpower chip on my 16v - theyre the best value out their for our cars and i felt a good difference. Similar sortof situation to cossie owners years ago - there was one company who made THE chips to have..... Another bonus is they can map for a range of mods whther your car is with them or not (mail order for DIY fitting).

Get a stage 1 chip iv got 1 and its loads better its a better drive.

If you get a standard air box and run an extra cool air feed into it, it made a big improvement on mine.

how much is a stage 1 chip and wot sort of gains could i expect?

A stage 1 chip is about £140 i think, im not sure of the gains im havin it rolling roaded soon so i can let you know.

I rekon a stage 1 would gain about 20 - 30 bhp depending on the car

No with all the mods, de-cat, full system, uprated air filter and chip. I Rekon the chip is about 12 brake

And as for 30bhp gain....erm, if you can show me a near 170 brake valver with all that bolt on fluff the ill eat one of my toenails.
