Bike carbs on clio williams??

  Clio 172 (2)Clio 16v
Would it be worth doin to get more power out of the car or what would it be like is it hard to do has anyone on here ever done it before??

  ITB'd MK1
it's been done. Carbs are crude as hell though. There's not a great deal of point in going that route IMO. ITBs if you're serious, or just a set of cams and a good remap.

ye know of anyone other than ktec that do itbs cuz they mad money!!iv piper cams in it but its not enough any cams you recommend??

erm, well there's me ;)

which pipercams do you have, there's some which are very mild and some that are quite brutal. Also, where were they dialed in? there's a lot of instances of very poorly timed cams coming to light on the mk1 forums recently

i couldn honestly tell you but i was thinkin puttin it on a rolling road and c will it make much difference!!iv the bottom end fully built with wossners high comp pistons lightened and balanced crank and knife edged too! i bought the head off a lad already assembled with matched inlets and polished with the cams and venier pulleys!! so like it should be fairly quick but i dont think the cams setup rite! what you recommend doin get more power??

oh well thats a different story altogether. I would expect even piper 285 cams to be on the mild side (borderline as they're pretty decent) for that bottom end.

The reality is, you've not going to see more than 175bhp with standard injectors due to their size, (they're actually maxed at 168bhp I believe i calculated a while back) with proper management well mapped, correctly dialed in cams, and larger injectors, you're looking at getting close to 200bhp with a high compression bottom end, but adding ITBs will get you to the 215/220 bhp area and with a load more torque and a much better power spread. Cam choice is fairly key to end results at this level

Its still runnin on the standard ecu wit superchipped how much would it be for an ecu and itbs off you?? and what cams would you recommend??

  Clio.
Only just seen this thread, I have ZX9-R carbs on my F7R engine, using standard (simplified) wiring and injection computer.
