Bit confused

Afternoon!

Just got myself s 182 so have been scouring the site for information etc. I stumbled across a recall issue with the bonnets not shutting properly. Now mine does not shut properly so I rang my local Renault dealer.

Anyway they can find no record of my car either from the reg or chassis number! Does this mean I have an import?

It's going in on Monday for them to see if it's eligable for the fix anyway

I can have a look for you as i have the renault system here.

Drop me a pm with your reg or chassis number from your MOTs

Got my car back and it turns out the recall was carried out in 2008. Basically it looks like everything around the bonnet catch is a bit rusty so that will need sorting.

The kind people at Renault also carried out a free health check and it turns out I have got some work to do!

-knackered cv joint
-cracked suspension spring
-knackered discs and pads all round
-near side xenon light not working.

Nothing too major but I might need a specialist to do the cv joint. Anyone people recommend near sn12 melksham?

Cheers

Martin

To be fair I have barely driven it since taking it in px. The said the front pads were 95% worn! I'm not overly bothered about the brakes because I always intended to upgrade them for track use

Look at the pads yourself through the wheel, you'll be able to see if they are shot or not, that & the brakes will be grinding if they are knackered. You'll also be able to see if the discs are shot through the wheels too.

Will do. Like I say I was intending to upgrade the breaks anyway. I'm a bit miffed over the spring because I had hoped to hold off on upgrading the suspension for a while
