black and white/colour pics??

hey guys just a quick question ive seem some people post pictures where thier car is in colour and the background is in black and white look good and i would like to have a go but dont how its done can anybody help me

They will put the colour photo into a photo editing software like Photoshop and then put a mask over the background and make that black and White but leave the car unmasked so it stays in colour.

It's really easy and there is hundreds of tutorials on the web for it you just need to buy *coughdownloadcough* Photoshop to do it in

You can download photoshop cs5 30day free trial or gimp which is alright.
