I'm gathering bits to overhaul my calipers but cant find a length for the bleed nipples, from searching on here I've confirmed what I thought from when I last did this that they are M7 x 1mm.

Never really seen sale ads mention the length, i just assumed they were all a set size.

I use the stainless HEL ones off ebay.

I've been looking at Bigg Red caliper service kits, they are a fair bit cheaper especially for the rears if bought from their Ebay shop and free delivery

I've got a brand new caliper here , I've just measured my nipple and its 27.6mm long.
I've got stainless nipples in all of my calipers and I'm pretty sure that the threaded part is 1 or 2 mm longer and protrude a tiny bit more out of the caliper, but it doesn't affect them being a little bit longer.

Big Red are brilliant and top quality parts too. Pleasure dealing with and able to get me the correct parts first time over the phone

I have 2 bleed nipples here. One is stainless, one is normal.

Measurements for the stainless ones are:

And the normal ones are:

Both have a thread pitch of M7 x 1.

I'm pretty sure the stainless ones are too short. I had them fitted but changed them for normal ones as I think they was too short from memory.

@Dr Jekyll
I can only assume different manufacturers have different lengths.
These are my non stainless nipples. The stainless I'm using are definitely slightly longer.
