Bleed nipples

What are the brake nipples like on a 182? My cars done 89k? Will they come off ok or do they tend to snap? Thanks

Loosened mine off at 75k and despite looking bad they came out fine. Soaked them in wd40 a few days before.

jokes aside, if they're rusty, give them a wire brush before rounding them off with the wrong spanner

  A special one.
All I do is put the spanner onto the nipple and apply some pressure.
While doing this tap the top of the nipple with a hammer.
This shocks the rusty threads and the taper at the bottom of the nipple

It never fails.

If they are very rusty then it might be worth buying a new set 1st.

Sounds a good method ill soak them
a few days prior then use that method, yeah I'll get a set from hel as there stainless steel

Did you find out if those are the correct ones?

Bought these last week and got them on all my calipers. Rears stick out a little more than the originals but it makes no difference to function.

I'll also second the technique of giving them a little tap from a hammer to shock the corrosion apart.

I've had 1 in about 25 snap. But I didn't use the above technique on that caliper. Use penetrating fluid.

I'll try the hammer tap method. Last time I done them three came loose easily, one snapped and I ended up having to get a replacement caliper. I didn't replace the nipples as funds were tight and they were fine. Wanting to avoid that hassle again....
