Re: The 'TeamAriane' clio... Ghetto goodness.

it'll look bang on set up with the OZ's... airfeeds off, warm air in... mmmm NOT

;)

Don't lie like your bothered about heatsoak ;)

Have you seen the K&N on my MX5? Cabled tied to the strut brace directly over the exhaust manifold. Its proper rig up/pikey. Sounds good with the roof off though!

Airfeeds off, then you've got an identical £200 induction kit that someone sells on here....

Re: The 'TeamAriane' clio... Ghetto goodness.

i pulled the connectors off lastnight when christopher was sorting the lights, sounds raw as hell, i like it, although not as responsive, funny for the lols though. i'll put them back on later.

Re: The 'TeamAriane' clio... Ghetto goodness.

tomorrow entails a trip across the pennines to see the one and only Mr Murray. Riads decided he wants more from the clio and with the offers on at the moment it would be rude not too...

riad: standard 174, mapped 178
naith: standard 169, mapped 175

I think 130bhp would be better. Need to make sure it's not too much power for young riad.

Re: The 'TeamAriane' clio... Ghetto goodness.

Ghey lad bottled mapping because he wants his new exhaust fitted first.

Now get out of my office :p

Re: The 'TeamAriane' clio... Ghetto goodness.

its not going to run till i have the yozza on it, verious reasons why...

just waiting on it to arrive.

Re: The 'TeamAriane' clio... Ghetto goodness.

Just to point out, Paul managed to get something ridiculous like 8bhp out of my 1.2 16v... So if anyone can up the Welshmobile, it's him!

Re: The 'TeamAriane' clio... Ghetto goodness.

mat nos and myself decided to fit the OMP suade wheel to the clio today, and true to form nothing at all went right.

i had a quick look over the guide on how to do it by 'topgeartom' and matt set about removing the wheel, leter just as he wasw about to pull the airbag cord out he chickened out and disconnected the battery. alll was going swimmingly....

we tried to size the boss up and it wasnt fitting at all, much butchering later, swearing, kicking, cutting and farting about we got it on. only to have to pull it back off as it was grinding and catching. it seems the boss is either a ph2 boss or universal, eitherway it was NOT a straight fit.

omp008.jpg

we then come to the wheel... we bought the wheel, well riad did (spending alot of money) off a chap on here. as soon as we started sizing it up and tinkering the paint literally fell off it. Those that know me know i dont moan and make light of most situations but its outrageous. it got to a point where i said sod it, fit the other wheel, Riad will scream if he see's that on his clio... I guess I'll strip it down and have it resprayed then ebay it on, its a nice suade on it too so its a shame the 'paint' is so pathetic.

omp014.jpg

we were told it was suade/new, and when I looked closer its a normal wheel coated in suade and mediocre stiching. we've been sold a dud... of a cs member from turkey. Now I dont want to shout and ball as he might have got it from someone and decided to just sell it on without knowing, but if he knew about it not being as described well thats just bang out... hope its the first explanation. It wasnt even a case of being rough, we covered the wheel most of the time and the final wheel we fitted doesnt even have one mark... go figure.

omp019.jpg

omp013.jpg

I decided to let riad use the wheel thats meant to be going onto the megane, so another setback for the meg but i'll make it up to her, i have no choice. yes she's still looking sorry for herself,

omp004.jpg

but the clio has now got a little wheel which dare i say is bloody brilliant and for once the pics dont do it justice.

omp018.jpg

on a late night jaunt through trafford part tonight the car seemed totally different, how you may ask, i dont know.... direct steering, maybe due to the lighter wheel, placebo, the prodigy soundtrack, god knows... all i know is I was entering corners and chucking her about in ways I havent before, all in all after the crap setting it up and possibly being conned, I'm happy, abit.

Re: The 'TeamAriane' clio... Ghetto goodness.

Get the correct boss on. Tweeks sent me a ph2 one by mistake, guarantee you've had the same. Had it on for a while, then got the correct one on. Steering was much improved! I don't understand how/why, but there was more resistance with the ph2 boss, infinitely better with the correct one on.

Trust in India.

Re: The 'TeamAriane' clio... Ghetto goodness.

i will check, we bought it as a package off some turk on here so no comeback really, i'll let you nosey when you see it. for now its ok.

That OMP is sexual!

Do they do it without the yellow lettering, do you know?

I'm not sure, the suade one is in black/metal, scratched effect? LOL!

Yellow is their company colour so i'm guessing its as standard for them, you could paint it RB though... I know your thinking!

Re: The 'TeamAriane' clio... Ghetto goodness.

I do like that wheel.. 300m or 330?

Re: The 'TeamAriane' clio... Ghetto goodness.

i thought it was 330 but i think its 300. its tiny, the second wheel that is... sure it was bigger and has shrunk in the house.
