BLOODY HEADLAMPS!!

  Weeman sucks ****

How long should main beam lamps last in a cup?!?! Im getting intruiged why Im changing them so often. Could there be a problem somewhere that has caused me to change 2 since xmas??

Any help would be apprecieted folks, cheers.

I had to change 4, thought it was because the 50% better bulbs were too much for the electrics but at the moment i have one OE one from Halfords and some blue uprated one and theyve been fine for the last few months..! Weird! Wish i knew something about electrics to work it out

Same here, electrics was the reason I got got rid of my last car, but it was a bit more serious.

Ive got the Bosch ones from Halfords, brilliant white I think. Ill try another one...

Cheers mate

Well at least you dont have to pay £120 a pop.. lol

Is the fuse blowing when they go or just the bulb going ?

In my case its the bulbs blowing..could something be supplying too much power to the bulb? What happened to me is one bulb would go, then the other side, then the other side etc..

if u get grease off ure fingers, or worse, oil on the bulb then wen it gets to a certain temp it cud die!

ps- dont touch the bulb glass, always hold the bottom, or touch it with a clean lint-free cloth if u have to!

generally if one new bulb goes in the older one could blow

Try putting two new ones in and see if it happens again. Thenif it does i would suggest visiting the dealership.
