BMC CDA now fitted

Car  182, Golf
Hey everyone

After what was supposed to take 30mins and turned into 4 hours I have finally fitted it with a proper cold air feed removing the valve thing I cant remember the name of.

I had this on the car without the air feed for a day and it was pants. Just drew in alot of hot air and made alot of noise but made the car definately slower.

After fitting the air feed the noise was greatly reduced and the car has improved, not massively but I can tell the difference. Throttle response is slightly better and it seems to pull a little bit harder.

The end of the air feed isnt very good but will do for now as we used the cut off part

Overall I am pleased. Pics below

Lol at turning into 4 hrs, that's happened to me a few times. Decat springs to mind.

Looks good, I'd of kept the foglight in and routed it to the grill, or maybe if you're feeling spicy, taken the fuel rail guard off and routed it that way.

Yeah thought about the lower grill thing. But I think we all got abit excited and took the fog light out and put it there. I Can always Change it.

looks good. maybe end of the cold air feed could do with pushing in a bit to smoothen the look but glad it works well for you

Well done - however that CAF looks very narrow and restrictive.

I can recommend the way I have done it -using oversized brake duct cooling tube from Yozzasport for the CAF see the other BMC post

Yeah Thanks Chris. I have ordered some larger Air Feed and a proper end for the pipe. Should look better when done. I will post pics when finished
