bmc induction bend size

hey i just got a bmc induction kit but it hasnt come with the 90* bend i need to fit it? any one know what size ill need and where i can get one fast I.E will halfords or any shop like that stock them?

What model number is the BMC mate? just measure the Dia. and that will be the size you need Don't think halfrauds sell that type of item? Could be wrong... people like gasperformance or even venair will do a next day delivery. Failing that, are there any car mod shops close to you?

bmcf1a-cda70-130 just rang them and they said it wont fit my car even though i used there system to order it :s
my cars 80mm the filters 70mm ill need a tight (80mm) 90* with a straight then a pipe attatcher, going to a 90* that drops down to a 70mm to attatch to the filter. went to my local place and they said it would cost £95+VAT!!

If it was off their website for your car model then you can get a refund!

yeah but i need more then just a reducer i need 2 strates and 2 90* bend one side 80mm one side 70. yeah they said i can have a refund but i hoped i could make it fit for under £50

you should be able to mate,i have a 1.6,made a few enquiries myself,a 90degree elbow which reduces from 90mm to 70mm then a 45 degree chrome ducting tube and then connect the bmc to that,will come in at just over 50

The BMCs are pretty much all universal kits, the filter is suitable for the engine but its up to you to sort out most of the connecting tubing. You need to cobble up something like this and don't forget about the crankcase breather.

Make sure to either feed it into the intake as per the standard setup or vent it with a breather filter. If you look in the last pic I posted thats where the breather comes off the block.

Think the standard throttle body diameter is 86mm iirc.

no where do 86mm bends would a 89mm or 83mm nipp up or squeeze on?

89mm should nip up just I think. Although 3mm is quite a bit though.

if you get caf go for a little bigger diameter () i got 76mm and it was a very very very tight fit which required cutting the supporting wire circles to fit, for 80ish
