BMW E21 - First Clean

So, as per title, the car hasn't been touched from a detailing POV since I got it back from the paint shop a few months ago.

Tonight, it got a simple clean, just to freshen it up.

It was also a chance to test how watertight it is, the answer: Not very :(

Sunroof leaks badly, so some investigation needs doing.

Anyway, a few write up shots:

Not a great deal to look at, but I'm so in love with the colour, late evening sun and some Zymol Glasur and it'll look amazing.

Looks great. It needs wheels to make it look superb though. I assume you avoided using the pressure washer for now?

Yeah, it's not finished yet, I just couldn't resist cleaning it.

Yeah, no pressure washer, just open hose and some shampoo.

Sunroof pissed in, so I've either missed something, not fitted the seal right, or the seal is a dud.

It wouldn't be fun without all the niggles, surely it can't take much to figure out what's making the sunroof leak?

MASSIVE towel below it, then watering can until you suss it, you should see it running in from the top if it's leaking that badly though surely?

Yep, that's exactly my plan, take the headlining out (as it's going to get ruined otherwise) then fit the sunroof as bare metal, and see where it comes in.

As you say, it's all part of the charm of the car :)
