Bodyshop quote

  Nike Lunar Elite's

Im waiting for my parts from Prima to be delivered (should have been here on tuesday and i booked time off work especially :( ) and obviously want to get them sprayed. Iv only had 1 quote so far from RJ Automotive and they want £350 to spray (not fit cus im doin that myself) front and back splitter, sideskirts and m3 mirrors! This sounds like an absolute fortune to me, but is it? Can anyone recommend any other bodyshops i could try in the wolverhampton area?

side skirts should be about £100, front and back splitters, id say £150 -£200 for both, mirrors, not a lot coz already got the paint etc, its not too far off mate, also depends on colour of car? arent the grandes pearl finish? sounds about right i think?

Just to spray the parts!

Your looking at £40 paint and maybe a ton labour if that!

£350 is a f**kin joke!

350 aint far off,

paint will be roughly 40 quid then primer looking at 30 quid, and laquer 20 quid, then materials like wet and dry say 15 quid on that, thats 105 quid.

then labour and they will take in to account ware and tear on equipment, then most places will charge per item, so skirts will be 100 quid, then 75 for each splitter, and 50 for mirrors, so that is 300 for all of that, then add on the paint etc u looking at 405 quid.

so personally i would say 350 is a good price, and with that i would check each item before i took it from them to check for quality of work, so if it was bad they would have to redo it, ask them for a written quote first with a brake down of costs.

I still aint had the parts delivered but when i do ill take them to any bodyshops i can find to get quotes. Even after what some of you guys have said, £350 sounds like a lot, it only cost me bout £40 to spray my bump strips, bumper inserts, and roof spoiler, and that was for primer, paint, and laquer. If i cant find it cheaper anywhere else il have to ask halfords to mix me some paint (they dont sell my paint colour). Can anyone recommend any bodyshops in wolverhampton / walsall / birmingham?

I would get charged much more than that from my bodyshop, but then i know where the money goes. Unless you know they do a top quality job then find somewhere else.

I reckon Id pay £350 in total including fitting but for spraying alone £250-£300 would be fairer, based on what I know other people have paid for bodykit spraying.

go to cliospares in wolverhampton, they will point you to the paintshop across the road (cant remember the name of the place) they should be able to give you a decent quote.

I had already contacted cliospares and they have just emailed a quote of approx £200. Thats more like what i was expecting. They gota see the parts first (i still havnt received them !!!) before they can give me an exact quote but its only down the road from me, and considering they specialise in renaults, ill prob end up goin there.
