Wait, don't slate me yet! Its not coz i wanna be a girl racer :o I just want to protect the vee's bonnet from any more chips this winter, but do they mark where they have been sitting?

cheers

They can if the paintwork's not spotless when you put it on.

Shouldn't be too much trouble for your vee though. Seems like it repels dirt anyway.

I put an armourfend kit on my Corrado after it was resprayed. Once on, I hardly ever noticed it and it really did help to fend off stone chips.

's not so good at fending off gateposts though. :banghead:

Armourfend just ruins detailing mate. It's just a pimply/orange peel film so you get no enjoyment from seeing the car clean.

I took mine off.

can you not get that clear film? i forget what its called, guillame with the luna uses it on his front bumper, you wont notice it and will look 100% better then a bonet bra

Yeh, Shaun has ventureshield on his lunar but mine has quite a few chips & it wouldn't look right! I plan on fitting that stuff after I've got the front end resprayed! Im possibly looking at 2k's worth of cambelt etc on her so cheap & effective for now!

I want it for the little clio anyway ;) Thats gunna be my chavmobil :)

good job im not then ;)

All i want is to protect my vees paint bud, dont really care if they look naff.

thing is i dont get is that while you will protect a fairly small section of bonnet with one of these, theres still the whole bumper that will get stonechips and stuff so you'd have to re-spray that anyway

Yes i know, but there is nothing i can put on the front bumper to prevent stone chips! Atleast a bra is better than nothing at all.

Bra's are meant for girls! Not cars! But fair enough if your only using it for the winter mess that will be arriving, so long as its not on the car all the time like some people insist upon I don't see the problem with it really :)

Depends where your driving and how often you clean tbh. It does collect dirt under it occasionally, well my old Polo's did, didn't leave any marks.

Protects well during the winter months.

Iirc Mickb has a full front gimpmask type thing for his van? could try find something like that for the vee?

Hi Dawn.. I cant help but think a bra is going to leave witness marks on your bonnet, visible when you remove it. 'If' you're going to get the front painted anyway, why waste your money on a bra at this stage? You'll be using the chav-mobile in the crap weather any surely?

I think Ventureshield is a great product. Not invincible, but saves by far the majority or chips. I had it on my Black Gold v6 and now on the Lunar. Save your money for the repaint and Ventureshield would be my opinion. :p

Hows your lil v going Ryan..? ;)

Thanks Shaun, yeh im deffo going to get ventureshield fitted once i have the respray but i dont know when that will be as this month will be a wee bit expensive! For £40 I can't complain! Better than nothing! :)

Yes i know, but there is nothing i can put on the front bumper to prevent stone chips! Atleast a bra is better than nothing at all.

A mate has a bra on his audi that covers the complete front end, bumper and everything:dapprove:

lol, its for the vee during winter, if i really hate it then it will be donated to the lil clio ;)
