This may not to be your taste or anything, But i was wondering if this would maybe work?

Placing Beano and Dandy comics on the bonnet, And then laquering over them to stick them to the bonnet and make them water proof?

Nah can't see it working over a large area. It works alright on the dash strips and the like, but not a whole panel.

seen it done on a mini didnt look to bad but depends what car your doing it to i suppose

Depends on the car. On a standard car it's going to look cack.

Go to EU-Mania there is a Corsa on there that has done it, looks really good, not sure on a clio tho.

Im doing it onto a euro style clio in black, I have a checker bonnet at the minute, So was looking for some variation
