Is BBs ADJUSTABLE FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR the best power boost valve for a 16v?

This is their power boost valve isnt it?

I wanna get a pb valve & a chip for my engine next. Any recommendations? Whats petrol consumption like with these parts?

Any1 got it and wanna give us ur opinion? Cheers.

Which is the best chip & power boost valve for the Clio 16v?

Is it essential to be using a de-cat as ive sold mine cause it reduced low speed torque, but will it be better to be set up on a RR with a de-cat fitted?

Expertise a experiance required to answer. ;)

Power boost valves are not essential on a nearly std engine, if youe engine doesnt require the extra fuel at the extra pressure.

Basically, a PBV is a slightly more fiddly fuel pressure regulator. It has a larger diaphram to vacuum response is greater and has a greateer rising rate. Actual base line fuel pressure fluctuates depeding on engine load sensed by teh diaphram which responds to inlet manifold vacuum. Its larger diaphram gives what is basically a more responsive increase/decrease in fuel presure, leading to more fuel being injected per duty cycle.

There is no better PBV as htey all buy from teh same manufactuerer. If you engine gets chipped to supply enough fuel, you wont need the PBV really, if you add it after, you might end up over fueling, or if they get it running spot on, itll be doing eactly what the std regulator did......so nothing.

So whos performance chip is the best IYOpinions then? BBs? Hill Powers?

I want mine RRd for perfect fueling and performance. Is the de-cat essential for getting the most bhp & torque out of the performance chip? Any1 with experiance who can comment? Cheers.
 


i cant say as i have not tested any of those chips....sorry....

My 16V has always had a decat, so i cant compare, but you shold gain some BHP from the removal of it.
